So, y'all's friends lists are about to be flooded (relatively speaking) with set lists, which I have on the brain because I saw my favoritest band ever, Great Big Sea, twice over the weekend, and at one concert the dude next to me was writing the set list down and I gave him my e-mail address and asked him to e-mail it to me (will he or won't he? We shall see...), and at the other concert I was able to take pictures of the actual physical set list on the stage floor, so I intend to post those with commentary and stuff, predominantly for my own edification and memories, of course. *shrug* I dunno what I'm on about. Short version: I like music and I like concerts and I like listing things. And there you have it.

I spent the majority of the weekend in bed with the cold o' doom. Was really hoping to be relatively productive given that the house is a disaster and my dad is coming this weekend (not staying with us, though, thank goodness), but... oh well.

| bassclefgirl's House (ABCFAM, 10:30): bassclefgirl (Rob Lowe) unknowingly gets high before a meeting with ladycoldfire (Bela Lugosi). Also, stellans (Sarah Bernhardt) takes fortytricks (Angela Lansbury) bowling. Later that day, pennylvb (Juliette Binoche) and zekejojo (Jack Benny) buy a grocery store. At the same time, stophittinyrslf (Valerie Bertinelli) hires wytchchyld (Clark Gable) to perform pantomime at a Broadway show. In the next town over, pavlov112 (Richard Dean Anderson) and ralenth (Dick Van Dyke) write a children's book. Presented in HDTV. |

Toepaz. $75 with free shipping from Zappos. I'd go with Zappos because I'm not sure about the fit, and I can send 'em back if need be.

Tenny. $25 (plus shipping) on ebay. The reviewers at Zappos recommend going a half-size up in this style, so I feel pretty safe buying a 7. The general style is available at Zappos, but not in this print; I like this print a lot.
So -- what say you folk?

The past couple of nights we've had to be sure to leave the faucets dripping, so the pipes don't freeze. This morning when we got up (in the dark, of course), it was in the 50s in the house. (The heat was still set much higher, but between the drafty windows and the fact that it's just been really damn cold, our heater couldn't keep up.)
So, yeah, I'm done with winter.
(On the plus side, the weekend is supposed to be lovely: mostly sunny and in the 40s. It's going to end up leading to muddy paws, I'm sure, but at this point, I don't mind.)
Also on the subject of BPAL, I don't know whether or not I should buy a back-up bottle of Snake Charmer before it goes down. [I was going to link to the review thread, but I can't find it. Am I losing my mind?] I've never even come close to finishing off a bottle (I don't think I've even used up a half-bottle of anything yet), so it might be a bit silly, but it's just so gorgeous...
Anyway, here we go: ( Read more... )
After a bit, it finally occurred to me to ask why she needed to see my ID. The woman told me that in the theater we were going to be in, the third row from the back was indented on both sides, and the person sitting in the outermost seat had access to a chainsaw, which was to be used in the case of a zombie attack. I thought that was quite silly...
...because of the logistics: you couldn't leave the chainsaws running the whole time, because no one would be able to hear the movie. The people sitting in those end seats, then, would have to be able to start the chainsaws up, without faltering, at a moment's notice. Besides, how could we tell what direction the zombies might come from? Or whether they would be slow zombies or fast zombies? A chainsaw would be a completely impractical weapon for such a scenario!
